Who is the target audience for the symposium?
Audiologists and audiology students who work with children or have an interest in pediatric audiology.
Are CEUs being offered?
Yes. Participants will receive AAA Continuing Education Units for the full day event. You must complete a course evaluation at the end of the day to receive CEUs. Each participant will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the symposium.
In order to receive CEUs, you must attend the entirety of the program; partial credit will not be available. Attendees must complete and submit an informal self assessment/feedback survey within 7 days of the event (by 9/26/26 at 11:59 p.m.).
What is the cancellation/refund policy?
Cancellations must be submitted via email to mbaer@uga.edu before the cancellation deadline of August 19, 2026 in order to receive a partial refund. Cancellation requests received prior to August 19 will receive a refund less a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellation requests received after August 19 are non-refundable. If cancellation is not made by the deadline, and you are not able to attend, you are still liable for payment and continuing education credits may not be earned for the conference.
In the event a program is canceled or rescheduled by the UGA Speech & Hearing Clinic, registration fees may be refunded to the participant in full.
Registration Transfer: If you have registered for an event but cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another person. Simply email 48 hours before the event to mbaer@uga.edu with the registration information of the person who will attend.
How do I request accommodations?
Please contact Melanie Baer, mbaer@uga.edu or Beth Massey, bmassey@uga.edu to request the following: sign language interpreter, assistive listening device, large print, audio, or Braille. The deadline to request services is August 19, 2026.

This will be an in-person event.
Where and when is the Symposium being held?
Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 8:00am-4:30 pm at University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education.
Are meals provided?
Yes, refreshments and lunch are included in the cost to attend.
How do I file a complaint?

Is a lactation room available?
Yes, a lactation room is located in room 257 on the second floor of the conference center. The room contains electrical access, a sink, mini-fridge, lounge chair, Mother’s Room sign, and occupied/unoccupied indicator lock.
I plan to stay overnight. Where should I stay?
A block of hotel rooms is being held at the UGA Hotel and Conference Center. Reservations may be made by telephone (1-800-884-1381 or 706-542-2134), or through the Georgia Center website (www.UGAHotel.com) using Group code 72531. Room rates are $159 per night for a room with one king bed, to $189 per night for a room with two queen beds. The deadline to make a hotel reservation with the group block is August 19, 2026. Any reservations made after that will be the rack rate and based on availability.
