Are CEUs being offered?

Yes. Participants will receive AAA Continuing Education Units for the full day event.  You must complete a course evaluation at the end of the day to receive CEUs. Each participant will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the symposium.  Currently, this event is not registered through ASHA.  Participants can find instructions for submitting to ASHA here.

Note: We submitted an application in Spring 2025 to become ASHA CEU providers and hope to be able to provide ASHA CEUs this fall.

Will this be an in-person or virtual event?

This will be an in-person event.

Where and when is the Symposium being held?

Saturday, September 139, 2026 from 8:00am-5:00 pm at University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education.

Are meals provided?

Yes, refreshments and lunch are included in the cost to attend.

Is a lactation room available?

Yes, a lactation room is located in room 257 on the second floor of the conference center. The room contains electrical access, a sink, mini-fridge, lounge chair, Mother’s Room sign, and occupied/unoccupied indicator lock.

I plan to stay overnight. Where should I stay?

A block of hotel rooms is being held at the UGA Hotel and Conference Center. Reservations may be made by telephone (1-800-884-1381 or 706-542-2134), or through the Georgia Center website (www.UGAHotel.com) using Group code 72531. Room rates are $159 per night for a room with one king bed, to $189 per night for a room with two queen beds. The deadline to make a hotel reservation with the group block is August 19, 2026. Any reservations made after that will be the rack rate and based on availability.
